Don’t forget that this Saturday, February 25th, starting at 8:00 am will be a Technician crash course session at the Johnson County EOC.
If you are looking to get licensed or know someone who is, this is a great opportunity to do so. It is recommended that some reading and studying is done beforehand, as this has proven to give the best outcome if you plan on testing. The presenter(s) will be going over some of the more challenging topics and will be able to answer questions that you may have.
KB6NU has a great study guide that we recommend:

If you plan on testing, there are a couple of important things to note!
You will need your FRN prior to attending. It is now required for the test session. Click on the link below to log in or register with the FCC to obtain this information.

Please bring a computer, Chromebook, or tablet for the test if you are able to. We will have a couple of Kindle Fire tablets or other options available if you do not, but it will greatly speed up the process if you are able to bring your own.
Don’t forget your two forms of ID!
The test session will be open to those wishing to upgrade as well.
